I just found out from Marco Werman (of NPR's The World) that the band 127
from Tehran, Iran are here and are registered in Austin, Texas to perform at
the SXSW festival. Their showcase is today, Thursday, March 16 at 8 to 8:40
pm at the Carribeann Lights Bar on 6th Street. This is a very special
opportunity to see an experimental rock underground band from Tehran
anywhere in the world. Hope to see all who can make it there.
You can get in with a SXSW wristband or badge. You can also get in by paying
a modest cover but only after the sxsw people have entered first and if
space available.

of my apartment 15 minutes is enough for being outside, with my best
friends especially if it is freezing like always ....also
freaking 30 minutes drive is long.

If, you think
you are going to have a good time! you
are dead wrong.. they will kill
your energy right on new year,
they are not well organized, with bad music & environment!!!!!
(you know Iranians are always
late everywhere), so their concerts
never starts on time. Last year, @ norouz party ppl did not start coming
till like 10.00pm There weren't enough ppl there to begin.
the funniest part was that they
said concert Sharply Start at 8:00pm,
but It's good for you if can't
wait to shake it with the old
ladiesssss. every year go geejeh
migiram. one of the problem is I have to figure out what to wear between
all this old...ppl. u know I've gotten in to more fights at Persian
events than anywhere else. Never big huge ones but hey drama.. it's in
the perison genes and if I had managed to get away from it by being half
the Spaniard part just screwed me.
by the way saturday when there is
gonna be a HOT ASS PARTIES on 6th
street, make sure every1 comes out for that,
u gotta pick one.

world founded on the exploitation of the working people.
There is too great a contradiction between the
interests of the poor Iranian woman worker and the (MULLAH'S RICH LADIES),
between the servant and her mistress... Iranian women & all
(Mullahs, or slave owners). There are not and cannot be any points of
contact, conciliation or convergence between them.

in out of Iran love the western culture as much as they love Persian
cultures, or they have come to the wrong place. Most of us are
silent Iranian population. I Like Persiancultures organization because they
Took a firm stand against the kind of government that lives in Iran and
creeps into Europe & to the world and brings a bad name to all of us.
They brought forth an Iranian
people that are peace-loving and adapting to the surrounding culture, and
denounce bad interpretations of it in the world.
I am waiting to hear from second
hand Muslims like myself, that they respect the freedom of speech clearly.
I accept insults against my
religion and mock-images, since they give me a chance to practice my humor,
my character and perhaps, they even give me a chance to defend my religion
with a non-provocative reaction…Also this mock is good for us in realizing
that God does not live in the Quran (or the Bible or..) or in the religious
traditions. God lives in the hearts of man, and the best way to refine the
human heart is to show strength by showing weakness and accepting the
reality that surrounds us.
Let's wake up and have some
faith in us,
it’s a good feeling when you do something good, call & email to your friends
& family everywhere specialy in Iran & ask them to help us to do something
for Iran & Iranian. Let's make this happened,.. together we feel like flying
in the sky of happiness, & we won’t be scared for our

I'm a 23 years old Iranian. My
parents are Muslim but they don't pray or fasting never goes to the
Mosque Same with a lot of Christians, But none of my business.
Last summer I went to Iran, I
myself cannot stand this Islamic government,The way they treat
women. I don't know what kind of people are they. They always try
telling the world about their versions of the truth.. but they seem
to always have problems and Murder in their political power
struggles.They do harm behind each others backs all the time.
Everybody in Iran believes religion
has been used by governments to manipulate people, They are getting
screwed by bad governments, they always had propaganda states that
the US is losing.. losing what?!!
I'm asking my friends in Iran
please don;t let them talk you into dying or killing for it.I have
been deeply saddened by this whole situation.
To
be honest with you my knowledge is low in Islam or marriages
of (our)
prophet I don't know the exact
reason of marriages of (our)
prophet and I really don't
like this matter, but I am
sure about something and that is he is the last prophet of God.
Do you think God, is Jew, or
Christian, or Muslim
or any other faith, or just
he is God? I Do believe in
god, but non of these! why
each religion feels it has an exclusive license on God and that
non-believers are ungodly.
I am not agree that a 9
years old girl should be
fu..ed by a grown up man even
prophet.
If I had a 9 yrs old daughter I didn't like her get fu..ed by a man.
If Mohamad was really a good prophet he would not sleep with a 9 yrs
old, instead he would take her as a daughter and look after her till
she became a lady. which she have the opportunity to choose her
husband, till she have a little knowledge about what happen when 2
people get married.
I feel so
peaceful in my heart without following any of these religions. Im so
sorry to all girls in Iran and myself here, because I'm still known
as a Muslim girl.

I am
a married Iranian, American citizen, my wife is American. I am
a Muslim & my wife is Christian. We have two kids, 23 years old
sun & 18 years old daughter.
It
is interesting that after all these years
we need to talk
about our family's religion,
& I don't have any reason to speak about my background & family
in Iran to my kids, because they went to Iran few times & they
know everything about Persian cultures & people In Iran.
The
only thing that
I'm saying to my
kids is:
God is invisible, incomprehensible, inaccessible, a pure
essence, which cannot be described by any of us, & this is wrong
to describe the indescribable and explain the unexplainable by
some people like racist fundamentalism
liar
regime in Iran.
All
religion filled with positives and negatives, & also I think
Christianity and Judaism & all others that are as illogical as
Islam? We should be well able to dissect the positive from
negative.
But
my kids
question
is: who is responsible of the rise of this
kind of religious,
fundamentalist
regime in a country like Iran?
My kids asked me:
How this regime could fool so many people of Iran so easily? &
why their mission is to make people kill others & just not doubt
their beliefs.
In
western world women can choose her dress, like a nun can be
covered from head to toe and she's respected for devoting
herself to God, but not with the pressures of the
fundamentalist regime like Iran.
Or
when a western woman stays at home to look after the house and
kids she's sacrificing herself and doing good for the household,
but again not with the pressure of this racist
regime like in Iran .
A Jew can grow a beard and he's just practicing his faith, but
not with the pressure of the fundamentalist regime to get a job
or accepting in universities.
I am
a Muslim who, after reading & follow
all these news & articles, about the cartoon crisis am even
having some doubts, how about my kids!!?
I do
not agree that just Islam is against women.
My educated wife said the Bible also is derogatory
towards the women, for example she said in the Bible Eve was

not saying that western world are not full of problems but let's
not close our eyes to the problems of the some Islamic
countries. No one has the absolute truth. And yet Islamic
regime of Iran go on to give their own philosophies of what
truth is....to the world!!
Jewish
and Christians & others lived in peace as compared to the
persecution of faith that went on in Europe at the old time &
present.
There was a flowering of literature and philosophy and many
examples of great 'free spirits' who flourished under other
Islamic Society before in Iran, such as Roumi, Aboo ali Sina,
Hakim omar Khayyam, Ferdowsi..and many, many others.. Why not
under these fundamentalist regime of Iran?
We
all know that all Muslims are not terrorists. I am a Muslim and
I am not fanatic and violent. Some people may have issues with
Muhammad and the Quran & Muslim or jwish or
Jesus & Christianity & the Bible or other religions but,
I believe in freedom & I think we need to hear each
other & I'm not suggesting that we should eliminate any
religions?
Any religion has some good to it, but not the kind of racism
fundamentalism liar regime like in Iran that made a religion so
hard & fake to follow?.
My kids asked me:
We want you to tell us what you think & what is your
religion now?
I
told my kids: Religions should have something good to offer,
& it is why that many people are attracted to them.They should
practice peace, love, freedom and
toleration between all peoples. If We are so anti-(liar
regime of Iran), it's because their faith is fake, it's for
money & power.. not for or from god & it's not for the poor
people of the rich country
of Iran.. & its evil.
We
are not an ex-Muslim, but this racist fundamentalist regime kill others even their own people every
day under gods name, & tell Muslims that they will go to
paradise if they do anything this racism fundamentalism
liar regime ask to do & some
uneducated followers dos that. they are not killing or

امید بستن به زنا سرابه، اونقدر تو سر زنا كوبيدن كه
بيچاره ها ديگه نميتونن قد علم كنن، حتی به نفع حودشون.
زن اگه نتونه از نظر اقتصادي خود كفا بشه، هميشه
توسرى خور باقى ميمونه. بابا هر كدوممون هزار تا نمونه دور و برمونه ديگه.
شيخا هم اينو خيلى خوب ميدونن و صبح تا شب تو
مخ مرد و زن فرو كردن و ميكنن كه زن فقط زندگيش تو چار ديوارى خونه س و بس. چون
ميدونن زن ها بسيار با لياقت هستن و تو دنياى اقتصاد اگه وارد شن، مرد ها
ديگه نميتونن فرمانرواى مطلق باشن. واسه همين، درس و دانشگاه واسه دخترا بده..
شغل و كار و درآمد واسه زن بده.. آزادى واسه زن بده.. حق انتخاب واسه زن بده..
استقلال واسه زن بده .. آگاهى واسه زن بده.. و و و
به قول شما،.. ما مثلأ مردا هم.. انگار ازين
فرهنگ يكطرفه پوسيده، زياد گله اى نداريم و واسه ارضاء متحجرانه ى خودمون حتى
خواهر و مادر و دخترامونو به اين اسارت و عقب موندگى تشويق ميكنيم و بردگى شون
به ما رضايت ميده.
اونقدر تو سر زن كوبيدن كه مسائل فكريش از
مهريه و نفقه وبهشت زير پاش اونور تر مبادا بره، و در زمانى كه حساس ترين
پست هاى جهان در دست زنان هست، تو مملكت ما، به يك بيسواد جيره خوار شيخ ها،
قدرت داده شده كه به زن و دختران ما فحاشى كنند ، كتك بزنند و حتى به زندان
ببرند كه چرا مثلأ موهات پيداس؟ فقر و جهل فكرى تا كجا؟ و كار رو به جائى
رسوندن كه فقط به مو ها و لباساشون اگه كارى نداشته باشن، ديگه فكر كنن به به
چقدر آزاديم.. و ما مثلأ مردان هم همه نظاره گر؟؟
همه مردان راستين وشير زنان غيور و
متفكر هم كه، زندان و به زير خاك..
در حاليكه زنان و دختران همين شيوخ با ثروت دزديده
شده از همين مردم توسرى خورده در همه دنيا مشغول عيش و نوش وفسادند ..
اما زنان و دختران ما، در اينجا به كلفتى و شوهردارى در خانه تشويق و محكوم
ميشوند و اگر دم بزنند جوابشان تحقيريست به وسعت هزار و چهار صد سال تاريخ كه:
تو كه فقط ميخورى وميخوابى و از بيرون و گرفتارى هاى( يك مرد) بى خبرى..
خفه شو، بمير و تاآخر عمر بسوز و بساز..
عاقبت فرهنگ شيخ هاى متحجر نتيجه اى به جز
بردگى زن در بر نداشته و نخواهد داشت. پس هر وقت زن تونست اين بند هاى فكرى رو
پاره كنه واز خواسته شيخ ها سرپيچى كنه و فاتحه طرح ماشين جوجه كشى و
كلفتى اونها رو بخونه و قضاياى صيغه و عشرت مذهبى اونها و چهار تا زن رو
توصورتشون بكوبه ودر ارث و نفقه و ديه و غيره، تساوى خودشو درك كنه و خودش
مستقلأ افسار فكرى و اقتصادى زندگيش رو به دست بگيره، اونوقت ميتونه و
ميشه قدرت ديرينه شو به دست بياره تا نه تنها در برابرى با مردان زندگى كنه،
بلكه همچون پيشينيان در تاريخ، حاكم و سرنوشت ساز براى ملت و نمونه‌اى از
انسانيت براى مردم آزاده باشه.
اما يادمون نره استقلال و فعاليت زن در
جامعه بزرگترين كابوس شيخ هاست و غيبت فيزيكى و فكري زن در جامعه مهم ترين هدف
شيخ و مردان شيخ صفت..
حضور هر كدام نابودى تفكر ديگريست.. البته كه انسان
با اميد زنده س.

مدتها قبل در يك چت روم، دخترى آدرس سايت شما را به
شخصى ميداد و سفارش ميكرد كه حتمأ برو ببينش عاشقش ميشى، منهم آدرس رو ديدم و
اومدم اينجا،.. خوب من عاشقش نشدم چون يكبار شده ام وپشت دستم رو داغ كرده ام
كه ديگه عاشق هيچ كس و هيچ چيزى نشم ولى منصفانه بگم گرفتار اين سايت شدم، چرا؟
اولأ نگاه تيز و بى طرفانه و انتخاب مطالب و در گير نشدن شما با مسائل غير
كليدى، و تقسيم زيباى ديده ها و شنيده هايتان و سهيم شدن آنها با همه ما كه هر
روز مريد دائم شده ايم. دومأ انتخاب هاى صحيح شما از ميان اقيانوس سايت ها كه
به هر حال بيشترين ساعات ما، يا لااقل من، هر روز در سايت شما از اين
اطاق به آن اطاق سر ميكشم و بدون اغراق هميشه سيراب برميگردم...
و امروز كه با دنياى ديگرى از شما(زن) آشنا شدم

I knew about the red light on cars,
but not the *677.
It was about 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a
friend. An UNMARKED
police car pulled up behind her and put his lights on. *Lauren's parents
have always told them never to pull over for an unmarked car on the side of
the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc.
Lauren had actually listened to her
parents advice, and promptly called 677
on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over
right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked
police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The
dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she and there
weren't, and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back
up already on the way.
Ten minutes later 4 cop cars
surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her. One policeman went to her
side and the others surrounded the car behind. They pulled the guy from the
car and tackled him to the ground. The man was a convicted rapist and wanted
for other crimes.
I never knew about the
*677 Cell Phone Feature,
but especially for a woman alone in a car, you should not pull over for an
unmarked car. Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going to
a safe & quiet; place. You obviously need to make some signals that you
acknowledge them (i.e. put on your hazard lights) or call
*677 like Lauren did.
Too bad the cell phone companies don't
generally give you this little bit of wonderful information.

at **Bell** Mobility confirmed that *677
was a direct link to OPP Dispatch. So, now it's your turn to let your
friends know about *677.

داستاني که در زير نقل ميشود، مربوط به دانشجويان
ايراني است که دوران سلطنت ?احمدشاه قاجار? براي تحصيل به آلمان رفته بودند و
آقاي ?دکتر جلال گنجي? فرزند مرحوم ?سالار معتمد گنجي نيشابوري? براي نگارنده
نقل کرد:
?ما هشت دانشجوي ايراني بوديم که در آلمان در عهد ?احمد شاه? تحصيل مي‌کرديم.
روزي رئيس دانشگاه به ما اعلام نمود که همه دانشجويان خارجي بايد از مقابل
امپراطور آلمان رژه بروند و سرود ملي کشور خودشان را بخوانند. ما بهانه آوريم
که عده‌مان کم است. گفت: اهميت ندارد. از برخي کشورها فقط يک دانشجو در اينجا
تحصيل مي‌کند و همان يک نفر، پرچم کشور خود را حمل خواهد کرد، و سرود ملي خود
را خواهد خواند.
چاره‌اي نداشتيم. همه ايرانيها دور هم جمع شديم و گفتيم ما که سرود ملي
نداريم، و اگر هم داريم، ما به‌ياد نداريم. پس چه بايد کرد؟ وقت هم نيست که از
نيشابور و از پدرمان بپرسيم. به راستي عزا گرفته بوديم که مشکل را چگونه حل
کنيم. يکي از دوستان گفت: اينها که فارسي نمي‌دانند. چطور است شعر و آهنگي را
سر هم بکنيم و بخوانيم و بگوئيم همين سرود ملي ما است. کسي نيست که سرود ملي ما
را بداند و اعتراض کند.
اشعار مختلفي که از سعدي و حافظ مي‌دانستيم، با هم تبادل کرديم. اما اين شعرها
آهنگين نبود و نمي‌شد به‌صورت سرود خواند. بالاخره من [دکتر گنجي] گفتم:
بچه‌ها، عمو سبزي‌فروش را همه بلديد؟. گفتند: آري. گفتم: هم آهنگين است، و هم
ساده و کوتاه. بچه‌ها گفتند: آخر عمو سبزي‌فروش که سرود نميشود. گفتم: بچه‌ها
گوش کنيد! و خودم با صداي بلند و خيلي جدي شروع به خواندن کردم: ?عمو سبزي‌فروش
. . . بله. سبزي کم‌فروش . . . بله. سبزي خوب داري؟ . . . بله.? فرياد شادي از
بچه‌ها برخاست و شروع به تمرين نموديم. بيشتر تکيه شعر روي کلمه ?بله? بود که
همه با صداي بم و زير مي‌خوانديم.
همه شعر را نمي‌دانستيم. با توافق هم‌ديگر، ?سرود ملي? به اين‌صورت تدوين شد:
عمو سبزي‌فروش! . . . بله.
سبزي کم‌فروش! . . . . بله.
سبزي خوب داري؟ . . بله.
خيلي خوب داري؟ . . . بله.
عمو سبزي‌فروش! . . . بله.
سيب کالک داري؟ . . . بله.
زال‌زالک داري؟ . . . . . بله.
سبزيت باريکه؟ . . . . . بله.
شبهات تاريکه؟ . . . . . بله.
عمو سبزي‌فروش! . . . بله.
اين را چند بار تمرين کرديم. روز رژه، با يونيفورم يک‌شکل و يک‌رنگ از مقابل
امپراطور آلمان، ?عمو سبزي‌فروش? خوانان رژه رفتيم. پشت سر ما دانشجويان
ايرلندي در حرکت بودند. از ?بله? گفتن ما به هيجان آمدند و ?بله? را با ما
همصدا شدند، به‌طوري که صداي ?بله? در استاديوم طنين‌انداز شد و امپراطور هم به
ما ابراز تفقد فرمودند و داستان به‌خير گذشت.?

این میان پناهجویان سیاسی و اجتماعی قربانی رژيم دیکتاتوری اسلامی نیز، که
اندکی امید به اصلاح و بهبود وضع ایران داشتند و دست تندروهای خونخوار را از سر
مردم کوتاه شده تلقی می نمودند، از این مسئله نومید شدند.رهبری مرتجع ایران و
فرزند خلفش با کودتای بی سروصدای خویش زمام امور را در دست یک شکنجه گر و
تروریست قرار داد تا با بی رحمی بیشتر زبانها را بریده و قلمها را بشکند و اندک
لبخندی اگر برلب جوانان مملکت نقش بندد، بگریه تبدیل کند. در

Captured" isn't a virus in itself; it's the text of a message that includes
a link to a file called EXPLOIT.EXE. When a message recipient clicks on this
link to view what he thinks are pictures of Osama bin Laden's capture, he
can end up downloading an executable Trojan known as Backdoor-AZU,
BKDR_LARSLP.A, Download.Trojan, TrojanProxy.Win32.Small.b,or Win32.Slarp.<
BR> Clicking the embedded link in the "Osama bin Laden Captured" message
auto-executes a file called "EXPLOIT.EXE," which exploits a known security
hole to download the Trojan. According to McAfe Security:
The Trojan opens a random port on the victim's
machine. It sends the Port information to a webpage at IP address
66.139.77.145. The Trojan listens on the open port for instructions and
redirects traffic to other IP addresses. Spammers and hackers can take
advantage of compromised systems by using the infected computer as a
middleman, allowing them to pass information through it and remain
anonymous. Microsoft has made available updates that close the hole
exploited by this Trojan.

to the BBC has been read twice in that radio
To Mr. Martin Asser,
Dear Sir, it is with a great
astonishment that I heard from BBC, using the word "Farsi" instead of
Persian, the language of the Iranians.
The totality of the books in English written about Iran, as long as the
English language exists, use the word
Persian
when refer to the language. I wonder who has decided now that it should
be otherwise. Either such person ignores even the elementary English
language or he or she has thought it is more pompous to us the word "farsi".
Imagine, someone uses in English the
word "Deutch " when referring to German language, or "Svenska," instead
of Swedish, or "Français" instead of French, or " Dansk" instead of
Danish, etc.
By the way if I ask you , "do you
speak Noshk" ? Propably you will answer "what ?!" But if I ask you " Do
you speak Norwegian?" Then you understand. In the same way, if I say in
Persian,"
do you speak English?". People will laugh at me. Because in
Persian the word
for English is " engelisi".
For your information, The word “farsi”
is a colloquial and arabised form of the word “Parsi”
that is given birth to the word Persian
in English. In the classical
Persian
literature the word “farsi” has never been used. If the letter
"P" of the
"Parsi"
is transformed in colloquial way to "F" it is just because in arabic
language the letter "P"
doesn't exit. Thus, they pronounce it "farsi" which is a souvenir of
Arab's.invasion of Persia
in the 7th century.
Using the word "Farsi" instead of
Persian
not only makes you program look "cheap", but also indicates that how
much
the program makers in BBC. are
confused.
